While visiting the drought-stricken Australia town, the royal couple and Dubbo citizens were surprised by the downpouring of rain they received as Harry took the stage. The prince was offered his own umbrella, but Meghan said "I got it" and stepped up to keep him covered as he delivered a seven-minute address to the crowd. He commended the residents of the country town, saying "You are the backbone of this country," but acknowledged "I know that life has not been easy." He recounted the years of drought and struggle the community has gone through, and encouraged them to speak out when they need aid.
